In 1998 in his late eighties, Reg looked back to his childhood at Thwing in the Yorkshire Wolds, his apprenticeship and his years in the motor trade. He chronicled his marriage to Phylle and the hard work they put in together to set up his business, Reg Lee Motor Engineer, after he was made redundant when his employer decided to close down the Bridlington garage where he had worked hard for 28 years.
